"Copy A" Forms Explained

The YES software laser generates B/W W2 and W3 Copy A forms in the IRS approved format. You can use these forms in place of the red W2 and W3 forms. For 1099s and the 1096 however, you must still use the red forms. The IRS does not accept B/W substitutes.

Electronic filing eliminates the Copy A forms altogether.
